Contests, gifts and promotions
The rules for anything with a prize attached, and for a number bought on somebody else's behalf.
Last updated 2026-08-26
This page covers everything on 1in1m with something at stake: contests, numbers bought or given as gifts, free spots, and the rewards for bringing somebody to the site. All of it is run by Rabid Turtle Productions, LLC. Anything specific to one contest or one offer is published with it, and where the two disagree, the specific one wins.
Contests
From time to time we run a contest on a wall, usually with a sponsor. There is one at a time, per country, and while it runs its rules and its prize are published on the contest page.
Who can enter. You must be 18 or over, resident in the country whose wall the contest runs on, and hold a spot on that wall. Employees of Rabid Turtle Productions, LLC and of the sponsor, and their immediate families, cannot win. Void where prohibited — if the law where you live does not permit a contest of this kind, we cannot include you.
How you enter. You do not. Every spot on the wall is entered automatically while a contest is running, at no extra cost.
How it is won. By clicks, counted over the contest window and nothing else. This is a contest of effort and reach — nothing is decided at random. The leaderboard is live while it runs, and the top 100 places are frozen and kept when it ends. Clicks earned before the contest started do not count towards it, and contest clicks do not change your position on the wall itself.
Fair play. A contest is the one place on 1in1m where a click releases real money, so results are reviewed by a person before any prize is paid. We may disqualify a spot whose clicks we believe were manufactured — bots, scripts, paid clicking, or traffic that does not look like people — and we may withhold or reverse a prize on the same basis. Asking real people to click for you is the game, and is entirely fine.
Winning. We contact winners at the email address on their account. You have 15 days to reply and claim; after that the prize is forfeited, and we are not obliged to award it elsewhere. To receive a prize you will need to give us your legal name and a postal address, and for a cash prize we also need identification and the tax details the law requires — within 30 days, or the cash prize is forfeited. Cash prizes are paid once that is verified.
Prizes.Taxes and any other costs are the winner's responsibility. Prizes cannot be swapped for something else, and if one becomes unavailable we may substitute a prize of similar value. A prize provided by a sponsor is supplied by that sponsor, and we are not responsible for the goods or services themselves.
We can change, pause or end a contest, and if we do we will say so on the contest page.
Gifts
You can buy a number for somebody else. You pay, we hold the number, and we email them a link to claim it.
- They have 30 days to claim it. We remind you on days 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 while it is unclaimed.
- Until it is claimed you can point the gift at somebody else, or keep the number yourself. Swapping the recipient does not restart the clock — the number came off sale on the day you bought it.
- If nobody claims it, the number goes back on sale and the payment is not refunded. The full reasoning is on the refunds page.
- Once claimed, the spot is theirs. They own it and control it, and you cannot edit, take back or refund it.
- They must be 18 or over, and must not already hold a spot on that wall. If they do, they cannot claim it.
- You cannot gift a number to your own email address — buy it normally instead. If you try, we simply give you the spot rather than email you a link to yourself.
- A gift message can be up to 300 characters, and is subject to the same content rules as everything else on the site.
- We never tell the recipient what you paid. Whether you gift the cheapest number or an expensive one, they see a number and your message.
Free spots and giveaways
We sometimes give numbers away — to launch supporters, to people who helped, or as part of a promotion. A free spot works exactly like a bought one once it is claimed, with three differences: there is a claim window of 30 days, there is no cash alternative and no refund, and we can withdraw an offer that has not been claimed. Some giveaway numbers are granted on terms that do not allow them to be sold on; where that applies, you are told at the time.
Sharing and referral rewards
Sharing your spot can earn you clicks. The rules are deliberately simple, and all of the arithmetic happens on our side. What you may and may not say about 1in1m when you share is on social media.
- Pressing a share button earns nothing. We record it so we know which platforms people use, and that is all it does — we cannot tell whether a post was ever made, so we do not pay for one.
- A real visit on your link is worth 1 click, up to 25 a day. Visiting your own link does not count, and the same visitor only counts once a day.
- Somebody who follows your link and buys a spot is worth 100 clicks, and that one is not capped. It takes a real person, a distinct email address and a card, which is why it is worth a hundred times a visit.
- Rewards land on your own spot, as clicks. They are never cash, and they cannot be transferred, cashed out or bought.
- You have to hold a spot for a reward to land anywhere. Credit is remembered for 30 days, so somebody who browses today and buys next week still counts for you.
- We can withhold or reverse any reward we believe was manufactured, and doing it repeatedly will end in the account being closed.
We may change what a reward is worth. A change applies from the moment we make it, and never removes clicks already earned.
Discount codes
If we run a discount code, its own terms — what it applies to, how long it lasts, how many times it can be used — are published with the code. Codes are entered at checkout, cannot be combined unless we say so, have no cash value, and can be withdrawn at any time. A code cannot be applied to something you have already bought.
Advertising and sponsorship
Advertising placements and site takeovers are sold by us directly rather than through an ad network, and they are always labelled as advertising. Terms for a placement are agreed with the advertiser in writing. Nothing an advertiser or a sponsor pays for changes anybody's position on the wall — clicks, rank and leaderboard position are never for sale. If you want to advertise, start at advertise with us.
Anything else
These rules sit alongside our terms of service, which apply to everything here as well. If you have a question about a contest, a gift or a reward — or you think something has been decided wrongly — write to support@1in1m.com and a person will look at it.
